Keeping your cool in the midst of chaos is no easy feat. In fact, it’s one of the hardest things you will be asked to do as a leader. It is also one of the most important things you will be asked to do as a leader.
And each time you are asked to do it, you will be confronted with reasons why you can’t do it. “I was raised by screamers.”, “It’s just my personality.”, “I have good intentions, but I give in to anger every time.”
There will never be a perfect time to start managing your own anxiety, so don’t wait for one. As these reasons rear their head and you start to blow your top, remember Honest Abe….your resolution to succeed trumps any excuse, any circumstance, any upbringing. Period.
